Urban wedding venue in Leicester
Helen and Gabriella held their urban wedding at The Pumping Station, Leicestershire, which provided a beautiful industrial backdrop for what proved to be an incredibly unique wedding day. Who else can say they’ve been to a ‘retro tennis’ wedding? Answers on a postcard!
Retro tennis wedding theme
The couple really let their personality shine through in the styling of their wedding. As avid tennis fans, they had a ‘retro tennis’ theme with old tennis equipment dotted everywhere. They’d also created tennis-themed shots for everyone; upon entering, each guest was handed a “Murray” or a “Henman”. To also incorporate their love of travel alongside, they named each table after a tennis stadium, or court, from around the world. Never failing to amaze, Helen and Gabriella also played tennis in their actual wedding dresses, on the lawn in between the ceremony and reception!
Midlands wedding Photography
Although Helen and Gabriella are both originally from South London, they both now live near Loughborough (which is were Helen went to university. Her bridesmaids presented Gabriella with a Loughborough Uni t-shirt as part of their brilliant speech!). They both wanted their wedding to simply be a huge celebration with their loved ones, as one of those rare times that all your nearest and dearest are all together in one space, and we think they certainly achieved that. It descended into quite the party later thanks to Truly Medley Deeply and I loved being there to take it all in and capture them in their glory. Thank you, Hels and Gabs!
