Twitter played a big part in the early days of Kelly and Joe’s relationship. It all started when he ‘slid into her DMs’ to ask her out. They soon swapped numbers, met up for a drink, and the rest, as they say, is history! The couple later got engaged last year while descending Ben Nevis. After a bit of a false start further up the mountain, Joe finally managed to pop the question on a bridge above a stream on their way down. Kelly immediately said yes, and soon they were busy planning their super cool West London wedding.

Palm Trees, Happy Tears and Black Tie

The day started at an Airbnb down the road from the couple’s venue. The atmosphere was super relaxed, but there were plenty of happy tears as Kelly handed out gifts for her bridesmaids. Her dad, Mick, was also pretty choked up when he saw her in her dress for the first time.

Now a photography studio and event space, Sunbeam Studios used to be a car factory. It has a ineluctably cool art deco feel that worked perfectly with Kelly and Joe’s stylish palm tree theme. The gents wore black tie and Joe looked seriously dapper in his velvet jacket.

Wedding Vows and Party People

Kelly and Joe’s wedding ceremony was incredibly emotional and a real honour to witness. Having written their own vows, they both had to rise to the challenge of reading them aloud. Joe had a bit of a hard time getting through his, but he nailed it in the end! If I recall correctly, when Kelly start hers, her first words were ‘this is how you do it’!

At dinner, speeches were given by the bride’s father, chief bridesmaid Louise, Kelly, Joe, and best man Tim. As you can see from the shots below, they were all hilarious! The dancing kicked off in the evening and carried on into the wee small hours with guests bopping along to the couple’s very own (and extremely well-curated) Spotify playlist.

Congratulations again to Kelly and Joe! Thanks so much for having me there at your wedding, I had a blast!
