Shoreditch Engagement Shoot
East London is a photographer’s paradise for shoots, and Laura and James were the perfect couple for it! Their Shoreditch engagement shoot was essentially a quest to find the nicest backdrops to shoot the two of them in front of and I think we nailed it (if I do say so myself.)
Laura and James are no strangers to culture: they met whilst both working in Switzerland and shared their first kiss at the Festival of Fasnacht (whilst she was dressed as a pink and blue dinosaur). After three months of dating, unbeknownst to their colleagues, and then a year’s worth of long distance relationship, they both came to London, but James proposed in Santorini, Greece! They were standing overlooking the ocean during the sunset when he dropped onto one knee and popped the question. Laura can’t remember anything of what he said because she was in shock – despite having randomly started showing him rings she liked on Pinterest the day he’d secretly bought the ring and brought it back to the apartment. Clearly, it was meant to be!
Suffice it to say, she said yes, and they began to plan their big day. They’ve chosen to get married at The Normans, a beautiful barn venue in North Yorkshire. After a fun day following them around Shoreditch and capturing them looking as in love as they do below, I can’t wait to be there to shoot their wedding day too!
