‘The photos are amazing!!! We’ve had a GREAT day going through them all and have had loads of compliments from friends and family already! They really capture what a great day it was… so many laughs and espresso martinis. Also, forgot how much time we spent being carried around!! Thanks so much for everything. Couldn’t have asked for better photos and your support on the day was really appreciated as well.’

If you ever get invited to a wedding at The Normans, in Yorkshire, do yourself a favour: go. Granted, you’ll have a hard time going to one quite as good as Crystal + Ed’s (or as good as Laura + James’ from earlier in the year!) but you’ll get to enjoy one of the best weddings venues in the North, set on a working farm and perfectly suited for beautiful wedding days… and plenty of raucous dancing late into the night, too.

After getting ready in the morning, these two said their vows in the centuries old barn-turned-ceremony room, joined by their nearest and dearest family and friends. They were lit only by the backdrop behind them and the hundreds of candles lining the room in every sconce, and on every ledge. The two new ones, lit that day at the front for Crystal and Ed, would join the ranks on the walls only after the confetti had been swept and the chairs tidied away, ready to be lit at every ceremony after that.

But once all that serious candle stuff is done you can, errr… party, yes? YES. Delicious food, hilarious speeches and plenty of espresso martinis later, we were all going a bit f***cking wild on the dance floor and our couple spent about 80% of the time getting hoisted onto their friends’ shoulders and being paraded around. In short: it was great.

Huge thanks once again to Crystal and Ed for having me there on this absolutely awesome day. I can’t wait to go back!
