Marquee Wedding Photography in Bournemouth
Sandy and Griffin’s marquee wedding was a wonderful coming together of many different cultures, countries, and communities. Sandy is originally from Toronto with British parents, and Griffin is originally from Oxford, with Indian heritage. On top of that, they got engaged in March in Baden-Baden, Southwest Germany! There, they hired a self-operated cable car to go up a mountain – and then, in the pouring rain, Griffin proposed! I think this perfectly sums up how in fun-loving and easy-going Sandy and Griffin were, which showed in buckets on their big day.
Dorset Church Ceremony
All Saints Hampreston, a beautiful church in a quaint Dorset village, was the setting for the ceremony. After this, Sandy and Griffin hopped in the gorgeous retro car that she had arrived in with her dad, and we went to go take some stunning portraits whilst guests arrived at the private home hosting the reception.
Natural Woodland Portraits
Blessed with blazing Bank Holiday sunshine, we made our way to Slop Bog Nature Reserve to take some photos that were definitely more appealing than the name makes them sound! With canopies of towering trees and stunning fluffy fields enveloping them, Sandy and Griffin enjoyed their first moments alone as husband and wife. (I was there too, obviously, but melting away into the background taking photos of them being their wonderful selves…)
English Garden Wedding with Marquee Reception
All of their guests eagerly awaited their arrival back at the reception, held in a marquee in a private garden. Decorated in a palette of pink, green, and white, there was no ‘traditional’ top table as Sandy and Griffin sat around table one with their bridal party. Check out their “Sandy and Griffin Against Humanity” cards for guests too! After hilarious speeches and beautiful cake cutting, it was time to dance to the post-modern jukebox vibes that Mandy and the Moodswings were bringing to the dancefloor, as well as a sparkler send off for the happy couple.
